Ben Voigt
Founder
Since co-founding the club in March of 2008 with partner, Justin LaPoten, Ben has been an integral part of the club's growth and establishment on campus. Ben served as the TCU Energy Club's President from in conception until September 2010. In his time with the Energy Club, Ben was a primary source of guest speaker recruiting, including such guest as Larry Dale, Ross Perot Jr., Barry Davis and T. Boone Pickens. Since graduating from Texas Christian University in May 2011, Ben has continued his career in the petroleum business through San Saba Royalty Company and Brazos Gas Company. Currently, he uses a land-focused approach to buying oil and gas mineral assets and developing exploration prospects across the state of Texas and Louisiana.
Justin LaPoten
Co-Founder
Since co-founding the club in March of 2008 with partner, Ben Voigt, Justin has served as the club's Vice President actively pursuing guest speakers and mentorship opportunities for the Energy Club's 300+ members. Justin will be graduating from Texas Christian University in May 2010 and will be pursuing a job with Bank of America's energy investment banking group in Houston, Texas.
